There are now two different subscriptions for Discord. We explain what the differences are in this article.
Discord Nitro vs Discord Nitro Basic
First, let's look at the higher (and more expensive) subscription on Discord: Discord Nitro.
nitrogen

You can also upload and use your own emojis and animated emojis. - Custom stickers and Nitro exclusive stickers

Another advantage is your own Discord tag number (the number after the hash of your username). - Server Profiles

Conclusion on Discord Nitro
There are two different subscription plans for Discord Nitro. One of them is Discord Nitro and the other is Discord Nitro Basic. Both subscriptions have different benefits, with Discord Nitro including the benefits of Discord Nitro Basic with different limitations.
But one difference is huge, and that is the price.
For 120€ a year you get a lot of digital content, but this can only be necessary occasionally. It is usually the higher upload limits or the better transmission quality in streams that motivate users to buy the more expensive subscription. But you don't pay $7 for that anymore. Rather, this price is due to the fact that Discord has packed another big factor into the Discord Nitro subscription, which seems to justify the price increase: the server boosts.
You are not doing something good for yourself directly, but much more for a community. Only the communities that share a server unlock higher levels on it.
However, if you only want a higher upload limit than 50MB, you have no choice but to buy a subscription with server boosts.
A bit unfortunate for our taste, but still a great way to unlock digital content on Discord.
